Love is the path

I´m not changing my profile picture with the French colors. Not because I do not care, actually I really do and I also have plenty of French friends and many others from different nationalities living in France. Luckily they are all safe. I do feel sorry about all the victims and I condemn any type of Terrorism. (From any country or religious group).

But I have the feeling that doing so (changing our profile picture) we are being manipulated by media.
Why we didn´t and we don´t have this option with Syrian, Nigerian, Lebanese and many other flags? (With similar and way worse tragedies).

I do understand that some European friends are closer to France (In terms of culture, relatives, etc) and they could feel more touched about it, but Facebook it is considered a “global” platform. Perhaps FB considers some citizens (human beings) more valuable than others?

I believe this is a major issue. Letting (and follow) a social media platform to shape people perspectives in which the world is being seen.

I´m not saying you should not change your profile picture, I just want to remark that we shouldn’t quickly follow the herd and always think for ourselves. WE are shaping the world with our daily decisions.

The path has been always clear: Love brothers, no matter your religion or where you are from.
